First time at the Strip

I've made hundreds of drag strip passes in over 20 different cars over the years. I've run low 11 second Super Stock cars to an 18 second Neon. Today was the first time I raced a stick shift. I haven't raced in over a year and my next project isn't going to be ready so I took out my 01 PT Cruiser. The track has had some sink hole problems in the shut down area so they only where running 1/8 mile. I left the line at 3200 and ran 10.94. Next pass was a 10.90, both passes I barely spun the tires and the engine kind of bogged on take off. First round and think I left too hard and spun the tires the whole way through first gear but I picked up to a 10.72. The next round I didn't spin and ran 10.89. Racing a stick is much more challenging but I had a blast. Just wanted to share.
