The vehicle was in an accident. The radiator is trashed. The airbags deployed. The car won't start. Why won't it start? How can I get it to start? Do I have to replace the airbags?

, you have to repalce the
air bags, the radator the accelaromoter and the seat belts, then rest the air bag system. with a scan tool, i have some f these parts avail, |

The air bags have nothing to do with the vehicle starting. We drive vehicles through our body shop every day with popped air bags. You most likely broke a sensor or something in the impact. Does it turn over?

Sounds like it's a problem with the starter. The wire could be broken of a fuse blown. If the fuse for the PCM is popped it won't start.

slartyblarfast is correct, it could be a number of things. What year is the PT? Check your related fuses in your Power Dist Center shown below. Then try switching your starter relay with another one. The relays are in your main fuse box on the driver side under the hood. For example, you can switch your starter relay with your horn relay, or any of the other relays that looks the same. I believe the part numbers on these relays are the same. You also have to check to see if terminal # 20 of your C1 side of your PCM is receiving voltage. You have to remove the C1 wire harness connector from your PCM and look for terminal # 20. Be sure to remove your negative battery cable from the battery terminal before you remove any wire connector. Then replace the negative battery cable when your wire connector has been removed. This is good practice. Now, when you turn on your ignition switch, you should see voltage at terminal # 20 of your wire connector. That circuit is fused somewhere. Use a multimeter to check for voltage at that terminal. If you don't see voltage at that terminal, a fuse in that circuit could be blown. Do some checking. Email me if you like: Chevy66@hawaii.rr.com Good luck, Tommy.
Check the fuses shown below!

Not sure about the fuel pump turning off, however, I'm concerned at this time with the engine turning over. In my view, the engine should at least turn over. We need to get the engine to turn over first, then if it still doesn't start, then we look elsewhere for other problems. That's my thought for now. Good luck, Tommy.
