I put a new battery into my pt. A day after I've started driving it, it left me stranded at work. >_> apperantly everytime we buy a used car this happens. Oh well. It needed it.

That's what the 'Center Console Flood Lamp' is for.....Although;I opt for changing the stock #37 bulb, for a #74 bulb to make it even brighter;A #2723 bulb works also,at about 4x the brightness of #37 bulb, and you can change the color of the blue lens,or you can remove it totally.

BIG thanks for the pics and schematics Randy!...I didn't even know what belonged in the empty square on the underside of the center piece...I'm now wondering if the flood lamp unit is sitting inside the console waiting to be repairedI will admit this concerns me, I thought the hole was just an access opening missing it's cover~---gives me a mystery to solve tomorrow I'll update what I find...maybe a gold bar hiding in there? It rained all day today. So I mostly cleaned up my little tool shed.

But I also bought some things. I snagged this original owners manual for my PT:

And I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a rebuilt ECM from AutoComputerExchange. My PT runs great but the P601 code stays on all the time. And replacement is the only way to fix it. $143.95 with a lifetime warranty. That's a lot to spend just to get the trouble light to go out on the dash. I probably should have just pulled the bulb.

I guess this falls under the "what did I do today", wife got tired of grabbing the wrong auto keychain from our office area....soooooo:

Now I'll have an answer if someone asks, "Is that a PT in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

Cool Re: What did you do to your Cruiser today?

Finished cleaning up the wheels on the 2005 Dream Cruiser, and touching up painting the curb rash.

Mine just has the empty slot, too.
I wonder if the wiring is there?
I felt around and didn't find it.
