Default What did you do to your Cruiser today?

I just wanted to start a thread to see what folks were doing to their cars on any given day. Post a little line about what you did to your car today. I replaced the splash shield over the pulleys as some careless mechanic (or PO) didn't secure it and it rubbed against the crank pulley till the pulley sliced clean through it. I also changed the brake fluid as I have no idea when last it was done. I've included a picture of the old fluid, which for all I know has been in there for 75K miles. I also made a catch bottle out of a Dr Pepper bottle, a length of 3/16" id tube, and an extra grommet. The Motive power bleeder I bought worked flawlessly.

Old brake fluid

Which Cruiser???

I cleaned up the Black Sheep to display up the street.

After that, I made a visit to my good friend in prison. Actually the soonercruiser, who is about to come out of the body shop. Actually, she did; as we drove her a block west to the pin striper to do the last work.
BOY!!!.... does she look great!!!!!
Looks like they either had to blend in the other half of the car (including the rear hatch and PTeazer front clip). That means more pin striping to replace. But, that also means with buffing the little of the car that is left, she looks brand new!!! (Only down side is....not ready to tailgate Saturday)
Can't wait!!!

Bought some 6" x 16 foot chrome tape in one last effort to chrome the curbs on my convertible. If this doesn't work, I give up. Can't afford $285 from Race and Street. I'm also hoping to chrome the pillar posts and header on the windshield. I've never seen that on a PT before, but I see it on a lot of classic convertibles.

January 6th 2011
New Photo of the OEM under seat drawer that I added below the driver's seat.

I installed an OEM under seat drawer below the driver's seat.
The drawer and the matching forward seat pedestal from a passenger side seat (plus the two inboard seat pedestal trim pieces that were on the 2001) cost $15 at the local salvage yard.

I covered the worn hole in the driver's mat caused by previous owner's heel. I used the cut off end of the salvage door sill from my rear door sill project andI epoxied it to the mat.

I had two slowly leaking front tires. Got them fixed. It was corroded valve stems.

It costs me $35, but now I don't need pump my PT twice a week.
