Default Head Lights and Tail lights not working.

I have a 2002 and when I went to turn the lights on this morning nothing happened. I have no head lights, no tail lights and the the dash lights are not coming on as well. Does this sound like a multifunction switch issue or could it be something as simple as a fuse?

empty battery? could be as simple as leaving the headlights on, opened door or trunk,...
