Default Cruise Control problem

I recently added cruise control to my PT. Original swich.
Car has original wiring and other cruise control things factory installed only the swich was absent.
We all know how original cruise should work.
Now I have this kinda problem, when I use cruise control from steering wheel it does
When pressed:
ON/OFF = nothing happens
ON/OFF + up/down =cruise is ON
up = cruise engages
up = coast
down = cancel
Towards driver = cancel

Ok, cruise dos work but not how it is supposed to work

I have contacted to my dealer (stealer) workshop and asked if cruise control somehow has to be programmed to ECU (brains). They werent sure, Jeep must be programmed they said.
I booked time for workshop and its been OBD checked

I used search and no-one had this kinda problem.
I took pic of my cruise because its different than other PTs I looked. Still factory equipped.
Box has electric harness and cable taht goes to gas pedal.

I'm not sure the Puter needs to know at all. I ordered a kit from Chrysler and I was told it was basilcy PLUG N PLAY. There are a few differnces in the years so you DO HAVE to have the correct years kit.

Here is what i have found on the web about it.

There are a few differnt kits
some PT's have the wires already and you plug it in, some do not (base models).
There are some instructions that come in some boxs that are incorrect. It sounds like hte 4 plugs on teh fire wall in the engine comparntment some instructions show the 3rd and 4th connects incorrectly.- make sure it matchs , if not, look at plug beside it and see if that matchs (dont guess!).

There is an suplamental page , with a wire that needs to be spliced on some models. But I believe this is only in models where the CC donest work at all. its Power lead.

My guess is you have some wires switched, if its working at all, you are close. From my reading it seems when its done wrong the tansmission shift wierd.

reason I know so much (or should say I can type so much that I have read) mIne does not work, put in by a indy shop and been on phone alot with Chrysler... NEVER once was I told the computer needs anything.

The chyrlser tech told me Im missing he wire from the suplamental page. Probelm is it take 2 hours ot find out (cheap shop and its sill $130 to know)..

good luck, if you figure it out, please post.

Car was at the shop, they plugged computer via OBD socket.
Nothing was found, no secret menu or else where CC would be "disable or enable"
Computer told that pre-modified voltage suplies to CC swich where incorrect
Therefore I was told that CC swich is faulty.

Money wasted 76€ (100$)

Guy On ebay sells um for about $200 complete (good price) and seems to be a great guy to work with, he sells genuine Chrylser ones and seems to be a Chrysler Shop.. Mine did not work (appears to be installation issue, find out tomorrow) and he said its warrentied and would take it back no problem if it didnt work. The indy shop that did mine forgot to splice in the power lead. Or so Chrysler tech said, we will see.
