Default Our Beach Cruiser....

Hi all,

I wanna thank all you folks out there in Virtual PT Land for downloading all those pics and ideas and all the do's and don'ts on the technical side.

Our PT started out as a salvage (hale damaged) '04 Touring, totaled out of Oklahoma. Because we bought her so reasonable and her miles were only 16K we decided to get a 'lil crazy with the car. After all, she's me wench's daily driver now.

We did her in '56 Chevy turquoise and cream, sorta a 40's meets the early 60's mild custom. I found Cirrus steel rims in a boneyard, painted to match and went with ww's. (Wanted baby moons and www's, too much $$$ for a daily car....) Beauty rings, chrome lugs and baby bullet caps to cover the spindle.

The verdict's still out on the ragtop. I can't get it to seal right, even after bending the frame as per the builder recommended. I'll mess with it as time goes on....

Car's name: Wabi Sabi.....

When I hit Preview Post the pics are TINY...? Oh well. I ended up loading a few pics in the Gallery......

Here's a link to the album at Piccasa, this should work:

Thanks....

No further plans except a sunroof wind deflecter and to drive her!

She carries a few recycled parts: fenders, hood and rear lid. Plus about a gallon of bondo.... Sanded to metal, then filled for about four+ days. That was the real incentive for the big ragtop, so I don't have to smooth out about 31"x37" of the roof. I'm not much of a body perfectionist, but she looks good enough for us.

Wabi Sabi sez, "I'm a driver, not show car!"

I'm happy with the car. We're in it for about $7K and only 17,000 miles.

(I wanted to rat-rod it out, but it's mama's car... and when mama's happy, everybody's happy....)

Question: How come when I inserted an image, it became a link?

Happy Motoring!
Harry
