Default Dang, I found the dash light problem.

After taking the dash apart..7 friggin times.... I found out why the new dash lights didn't work!
I went to a friend who had a 02 wrecked PT Cruiser and removed his dash from the car. The directions I got said to turn the bulb socket 1/4 turn... well it made the socket go past the contacts! 1/8 was all it needed.
I don't blame anyone, the directions were great, now after looking at the extra dash and resetting my sockets THEY WORKED!!

We all learn, the hard way sometimes, but we all learn.............

The wife is now happy, and that's all that counts!

Thanks for all the help everyone did for me.

When you put the lights in, could you feel the contacts at all when you twisted the bulbs in and go past the contacts because the instructions said to go 1/4 turn? Most bulb sockets have a slight indent where the bulb makes contact and you can tell when to stop turning or when they go in, you can't turn anymore when they make contact.

Thumbs up Re: Dang, I found the dash light problem.

Glad you discovered the problem.
Sometimes a very frustrating problem can turn to be something sooooo simple.

I thought so too but mine would just keep on turning until they came out again.
