Default Loving the PT even more today!

I'm in the Atlanta area- we got some snow overnight and it's getting covered with freezing rain now - I wasn't going to go to work - but decided to anyway... (I grew up in Utah and lived for nearly a decade in New England - so I've dealt with snow and driving in snow before).

I don't know if it's the flames on the car or what - but I had no trouble in the snow at all! (you know the flames melting the snow... LOL) I was following a semi up a hill on a backroad (not plowed etc.) and he just stopped, so I lost my momentum - I just rolled backwards down the hill (noone else out) and drove right up and around Mr. Semi. The Interstate's looked untouched by plows, but I had no real troubles.

I thought I might miss my 4x4 Jeep - but nope! Loved my little PT even more today!

We're still getting snow here.Close to 7 inches and still coming down. The PT's will be parked until it goes away. Not that I'm afaid to drive them in the snow but what's the point when my Yukon is 4 wheel drive.

Same here, both stayed snuggled up together under the car port in this stuff. Ive got a toyota 4x4 truck that loves to play in mud or snow.

sure a 4x4 will go easier through lot of snow, but a car will be way more stable driving at speed in snow

Driving at speed in the snow is how people end up in the ditch.

2nd day driving to work in the Atlanta "Snow-pocalypse" ... LOL I'm the only person attempting it out of like 40 in our office.

Have had no real problems. The only sliding I did might have been on purpose... LOL!!

Can't afford a 2nd car...

I used to enjoy driving my PT in the snow, before I lowered it. Now, it's not the volume of snow, it's how much gets packed under my pt and in the wheel wells. I've had it so stuff that the wheels just wouldn't turn, had to get my little plumbers welder out and melt the snow! lol

Welcome to the wild bunch here. Hope you join some of the car fests during the year, lots of people coming and going between Charlotte and Atlanta for shows. Hope to maybe meet you at one some time!

We had no where near the 8+" of Atlanta, but I was impressed with the PT in 4+" of snow Monday, then compacted snow and ice Tuesday and Wednesday. I never felt as though it was out of control.
