Default New to Cruisers, bad part advice

Hi there, I'm new to the forum and cruisers and was hoping you guys can offer some help and advice.

We bought a five year old cruiser this winter and this part needs replacing. I wish I new what it was called. Is it expensive to replace and is this a rather common problem with cruisers or are we just lucky? I was thinking it's called the multifunction control but I don't think that's it.

Thanks to everybody for your help.

it is indeed the multifunction switch. don't know the price of them or if you can get it on ebay. someone a lot more knowledgable than me will be able to help you.

shouldn't take long.

Amazon.com: 01 02 03 04 05 PT CRUISER MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH TURN SIGNALS: Automotive

01-05 Multifunction Switch W/ Fog

Ive only replaced mine as I wanted fog lights =P

Alternatively you could check with a dealership.

I replaced the one in my daughter's '03 GT - I think I got the part from RockAuto.Com - there were several makers at different prices, I got the cheapest with fogs (I think about $70?) and it works fine.
2 phillips screws at bottom of steering wheel column surroumn, then it snaps apart. 2 Torqx screws take the switch itself off. Takes 15 minutes.
Any auto parts place sells torqx sets that are like a jacknife.

Anybody know if there's been a tutorial on the >'06 series? Just curious, my first one was covered under warranty, but now that I'm out of warranty that's something I'd like to have a copy of....
