Just had 1st timing belt replacement done on my wife's PT cruiser at 164,242 miles.

Cost was just $800, inclusive of all parts: timing belt, AC & alternator belt, water pump, thermostat, roller/tensioner, 2 motor mounts, 2 front brake rotors and set of brake pads plus change oil of 2 vehicles.....

yup, I'm from Atlanta-GA, work was done by a trusty shop owned by a Vietnamese.....he quoted me first $500 all in for timing belt replacement....the extra $300 was for the motor mounts, rotors, disc pads that are due for replacement and since they taking them out anyway labor is already inclusive..plus the extra 2 vehicle change oil service.....

Wifey's PT now runs tighter and better than before...plus that extra peace of mind....you were right, lucky didn't snap, always had that fear inside me that the belt would snap anytime and give me more headaches & money to shell out......
