Default round edge oil drain plug

I changed oil for my PT last August, everything was fine, and I did not overtight the plug. But this afternoon, when I tried to take it off, it was stuck. I remember it's a 13mm socket, but none of my sockets fits, any size, they are either too large or too small. Probably rust on it makes it grow bigger. So I tried an adjustable wrench and rounded the edge.

What should I do? I still want to do it myself, and don't like to bring it to a shop since I already have oil and filter ready at home.

Thank you in advance.

Well,if you rounded the head then I guess it is already ruined. If you can get a set of vise grips on it that should do the trick.Just make sure you clamp them down good and tight so they dont slip. Then get yourself a new drain plug to put back in it.

Always use a rachet wrench as they will not slip off and round the plug. When you get the bad plug off have a new plug ready to replace it.

QFT

Use six-point sockets/wrench. Craftsman/Snap-on/ non-Chinese (Nothing
against China, they make fine stuff I'm sure, just not for export)
