I have to take my cover off on Saturday, I'll look at them and let you know, but the center console on the '06 and up removes without taking the knobs off. I believe on the previous models you had to pull the knobs off to get the cover off. I've never tried to pull a knob off yet...okay, well not one on my car anyway...snicker...

yeah i don't even want to try. We just got hit with our annual freeze. So having broken knobs right now isn't an option.

You could paint them like a few of us have done. Mine is an 04 so the knob removal process is differant on yours, Once you have them separated you could do your "vinyl" thing or paint them. Either way should look great. On the earlier PTs you have to mask off the "lit-slit" areas off so they will still light up. Sorry I can't help with the removal procees on your later year PT like yours, but I know CHROMENUT will come through with that info (Hi CHROME!).
