I've seen it many years ago. There used to be a PT Cruiser vendor that was one of the favorites for customizing accessories named MOSS Motors. They were quite big and carried almost everything you could imagine. They even had a catalog you could seen for. That painted bumper was in their catalog and web site.

The company is still around, they just don't carry any PT Cruiser parts anymore.

I bought mine from autotrucktoys.com about five years ago. They have a branch in Orlando, so it was an easy "go get" for me. I never fail to get positive comments from fellow PT owners and the "other" car brand owners at car shows about his mod. Even the mustang and camaro guys like it because, when viewed from straight ahead, it gives the illusion of the grill running from the top to the bottom in one continious piece. Thats the look the old street rods had in the 40's and 50's and that's the part they don't like about our PT's because the bumpers on our PTs break up that look. They say our stock bumpers look out of place. As I said I've gotten nothing but positive comments about it at shows.

I'm putting a couple pics up. I've got more to put up later with the other two hoods if I can find them.

I get a lot of my MGB parts from MOSS motors. I guess they hopped on the PT band wagon hoping to make a fortune. I think they had a few car lines over the years but ended up sticking with Brit cars

Yea, I bought most of my first mod parts from them many years ago. It was sad to see them go.

That's certainly different, but not caring for it either. Perhaps too used to seeing the bumper.
