Default heated seat not working

I'm new here, so sorry if this in the wrong section but today I bought a 2001 Limited edition with 57800 miles. When i went to turn on the heated seat the light didn't turn on and the seat didn't warm up at all. I was wondering if the power height adjuster (which does work) is on the same fuse as the heated seat or separate fuses. If it is the same fuse, could it be a bad switch on the seat or some other problem? Also, when the headlights are on the heated seat switch does not light up but the passenger side does. I looked under the seat and the wires are connected to the switch. Thanks for any advice.

I swapped the switch from the passenger seat to the drivers, and still the same thing, no heat on drivers side but passenger side works fine.

The adjuster and heated seats do not run on the same fuse. Fuse 6 is the height adjuster and 4 is for the heated seats. I am pretty sure that both seats run on same fuse and relay. If you have a volt meter you could see if you are still getting power to the seat by unplugging the wiring harness and finding the power wire coming to the seat.

If you are getting power, I would suspect something in the switch is bad.

Also, if you have a fatty, like me, sit in your seat you can get the wires pulled apart on the heating element. I had to take one of my wife's seats out of her Navigassor to take the cover off and fix this same issue. The switch was perfect, the fuse was perfect... course it was my fat arse that caused the slip on the wires, they have a cheapo connector and it just came apart. I'm 6'2" and 330 pounds of lovin fun, cause they build 'em big in Texas, just the car seat didn't like MY seat....hahhahaa

Fuse or unplugged, if it does work.

Great option. I've driven to work without turning on the heat, hit the switch as soon as the car is cranked.

I know that its not the switch, like I said before i swapped the switch from the passenger side to the drivers side and the passengers still worked and drivers didn't, so it would have to be something after the switch causing the problem. What are the odds of the heating panel inside the seat being burned out?
