Default Alignment issue done, now car steers left while accelerating!

Seemingly I had an alignment issue in my wheels.
The car mechanic I visit knows a lot of his stuff, but I suspect him of cheating, making people come back with other issues.
My car was in perfect condition, but needed a small alignment.
the guy moved my front wheel, and it had a fraction of an inch of 'clearance?' or was loose a few millimeters. He said my inner tie rod was bad. The car mechanic that checked it before said all is well...

Current mechanic had my car upon a bridge for an alignment of the front wheels, for 1,5 hours. I came back and he said he did not start on it, and made me wait for another 1,5 hours.

I suspect he did something to my car that can cause trouble in the long run (for me to return later)!

What I noticed that was not there before, is when I accelerate, the car turns right. When I brake the steering wheel turns left.

I did not have this issue before. I suspect he did something that caused the car to act like that. What could it be?

i think you should find another, more reputable mechanic. when was the last time you had your front brakes done? sounds a little like a caliper sticking. when you brake, it pulls to one side. when you accellerate, it pulls to the other. but if it didn't do that before the so-called alignment, then maybe not.
unless your mechanic messed with your brakes just to get more money out of you.

i'd go with my first assesment, find another mechanic.

Sounds like the toe is off, I dunno the brakes would cause that.

Feel the tread to see if it has a 'bite' in one direction

I could understand if the breaks do that when braking, however the steering is not supposed to go to the left when accelerating.. It's when accelerating AND breaking.

I've done the breaks that same week, put new breaking pads on an old disc, I could not afford new disks.
Mechanic told me not to do it, but I did it anyway, thinking as soon as the pads adjust to the rotor my car would drive normal again...

But like mentioned, it steers left when accelerating. Is that a breaking issue too?
When in neutral the steeringwheel is balanced.

Rotors need to be replaced only under certain conditions, not automatically
when pads are replaced.

Turning also needs to be done only under certain condition, not automatically.

The rotor should have been refinished, but it stops?

You said the pull coincided with the alignment work?
So it was good before it was aligned, now it's not?

Take it to another shop, or get a buddy and a tape measure and eyeball the toe, reading in front, reading in back.

I actually had the brakes done in one week, refused to change the rotors that where a little off, almost done for, with some grooves.. I just let the brake pads shape into the rotor grooves, instead of having the rotors done.

I had new brake pads done, alignment done, and broken wheel studs replaced the same week...

The strangest is that when rolling the car is going fine, when accelerating it goes to the left a bit...

wonder if the control arm bushings are shot?

Still, I understand this issue coincided with the alignment?

It's definitely not the brakes!
It seems more apparent in the first gear.
Accelerating makes the car go left, and deaccelerating in gear makes it go right.
The issue is less noticeable in higher gears (the higher the gear, the less the side pull).

rotate your tires before you do anything else. then decide what you need to do.
