could could try a good rubbing compound, followed by an excellent wax. I'm assuming that you've got body color bumpers here...

If you've got the plastic black ones, then there isn't much that can be done (that I know of). There is a product that I think is called "Back to Black" that works well for the short term fix, but once it dries out you're back to where you were

good luck

I tend to ramble and repeat myself, please try to over look my ignorance.

Do you mean the dark grey bumpers on the 01-05's .... the kid got lucky, the insurance replaced hers front and rear when she was rearended. The old ones had what looked like a tape line masking off the grey area .... the new ones have the same, must be a factory thing. I know the body shop only painted the body color (black) areas of the bumper ... the grey must be from factory. I have used Back to Black on black plastic bumpers on the 80's Golf/Jetta ... worked great. It may work on the grey area of your bumpers. Or there is always paint!

I would just paint them to match the car.My first PT was a 2001 Limited with the black bumpers.I had the painted to match and it looked a lot better.
