Default disc brake caliber sticking

Anyone have a front brake caliber piston intermittantly failing to retract? Pad does not lock up on rotor but causes enough pressure against the rotor to generate a burning odor. The caliber becomes over-heated when this happens. Any chance it could be traction control related? After sitting idle for awhile it seems to release pressure and self-correct.
