Default How to remove luggage compartment trim

Hi

I am trying to remove the passenger side (UK) or drivers side (US) luggage compartment trim to get to the wiring loom from the tail light. I removed the four screws that are obvious but it just wont budge. I tried the Haynes manual and it does not mention this trim panel.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

From a shop manual (2004)
"LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL
(1) Remove upper quarter trim panel.
(2) Disengage clips attaching trim to lower quarter
trim panel.
(3) Remove cargo tie down trim panel.
(4) Remove lower quarter trim from vehicle."

(In addition to the screws, there are snap in place fasteners that can be tight).
"UPPER D-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL
(1) Disengage clips attaching trim to D-pillar.
(2) Remove upper trim panel from vehicle."

(There are snap in place fasteners that can be tight).
I'll bet the following must also be removed first (and the rear seats tumbled forward out of the way).
"UPPER C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL
(1) Disengage clips attaching trim to C-pillar.
(2) Remove upper trim panel from vehicle.
DOOR SILL TRIM REMOVAL
(1) Open door to gain access to sill trim.
(2) Disengage clips attaching sill trim to door sill
and door opening flange.
(3) Remove door sill trim from vehicle."

I'm pretty sure you have to take off the panel on the D pillar that covers the rear speaker (if you have one) and the scuff plate (the one by the bottom of the hatch opening with ridges on it) and my parts book shows a 5th screw down by the bottom edge about midway between front and back edge. You might also have to take off the scuff plate at the bottom of the opening for the rear door and the panel over the inside of the C pillar.

Opps, Santa beat me to it.
