Default New PT owner and here is my PT!

I just bought this 07 touring through my work (dealership) for a great price. It has 49k miles and is in great condition. The only thing I have done to it is tint the front driver and passenger windows to match the rear and tint the windshield 50%. 3000k 35W DDM HID headlights and a KNN drop in. More to come!

Before anyone starts with the "Legal" thing about the lights, it says that headlights must be white or yellow. This falls into those perimeters. I carry the Vehicle Code with me for those moments.

Welcome to the forum.

Check the part of the code about window tint. I'll think you'll find that tinting the front windows other than the top 4 inches and tinting the drivers and passenger doors as dark as the rear doesn't meet your states requirements.

Law enforcement needs to see the driver and passenger as he/she walks up to the vehicle and the back tint makes it impossible for them to see you with all the window rolled up.

Of course I don't know what state your in as you didn't fill in your profile but most states are the same.

Welcome from Louisiana .... where it is legal to tint the windows of a Truck .... like a Suburban that can hold 12 gun pointing holligans much much much darker than the windows of a Del Sol that might get 3 with slingshots inside of it.

Adam??? The car looks great. The building your car is pictured in front of looks like one in Aliso Viejo CA?
I like the tint job, but do wonder if the windshield tint would draw to much attention. Here in the IE of CA officers don't seem bothered by the driver and passenger door windows tint, but any tint that does not allow them to count how many people are in a car attracts thier attention.

The car look like a clean slate waiting for some loving.

Had the same thing here in NC. Ridiculous that my PT vert is rated... get this... an SUV!!!!!!!! Yes, I pay insurance and my tags are both priced as an effing SUV! So guess what? SUV's in NC can tint their windows darker!!!!!! LMAO!! Already had a couple cops just ask me about them, I had to chuckle and say, "do you really wanna go there?". Both had a good laugh over it... I showed them my registration and said, "ok, now what is this registered as?". Neither one could believe it....stupid ass southern inbreeding state... good thing I love it here.....idiots....
