Default Timing Belt?

Quick question. I think I just broke my timing belt so I removed the cam angle sensor and cranked the motor. It didn't turn.

I assume the timing belt is broke. right?

I'll search the forum for others experiences but I thought I'd ask here.

How tough is it to replace a timing belt on a PT? I've done a few miats in the past but never something like this. the transverse mounting makes it look awful tight in there.

Any advice woulr be awesome.

Thanks guys.

Default Re: Timing Belt?

I seriously just had this happen to me the other day. I had it first taken to a local mechanic who said he would have to order the part and didn't have the proper tools to fix it. So I had to have it towed to the nearest Chyrsler dealer and they fixed it there. The total cost of it all came out to about 2 grand. they had to fix other pipes and the water pump too though...

Good luck...

Default Re: Timing Belt? for a kit fitting the PT. It is not a easy job, find a mechanic who had done this before. There are stickys in the performance section that will help you thru the job.
