Default Back View of Instrument Cluster

Hi, everyone.
I've seen a few posts recently about replacing the instrument cluster bulbs. Would it be possible for someone to post a close-up photo of the back side of a 2002 PT Instrument cluster, so I could get an exact idea of quantity/locations of individual lamps? I'm not sure if some lamps illuminate more than one area at a time, as opposed to specific lamps for the turn signal indicators, airbag light, etc.

Also, are all of the instrument cluster lamps of the same type (wedge base)? I've never had mine out yet, and don't have any lamps burned out, but was toying with the idea of changing lamp colors and wanted to get a general idea of what I would need. I absollutely hate the brightness level of the fog lamp indicator, and have a small piece of tape partially blocking mine.

I did a search to see if I could locate some actual photos, but wasn't successful.
Thanks,
Steve

Sscanlan,

Unfortunately, I do not have a picture. However, for reference, here is what was needed for my 01, and I also replaced the HVAC (heater and air control) bulbs:

I believe there were 6 instrument cluster bulbs, I would recommend at least two for spares if you break one or one doesn't work, etc.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (SuperBrightLeds.com): 8 | T1.5 Instrument LED bulb | $ 2.79 |
White High Power SMD T1.5-xHP 1.00 (DISCLAIMER: POWER/COLOR ARE INTERCHANGEABLE)
BULB IS KNOWN AT OTHER PLACES AS A PC74.

----------------------------------------------------------------

HVAC CONTROL KNOB BULBS (SuperBrightLeds.com): 3 | NEOx High Power LED Instrument bulb | $ 2.29 |
White NEOx-WHP 4mm NEO4-xHP (DISCLAIMER: POWER/COLOR ARE INTERCHANGEABLE)
BULB IS KNOWN AT OTHER PLACES AS #74 NEO WEDGE TWIST TYPE BULB (4MM).

Do the bulbs have to be the HP or can they just be 74x?

Super Bright LEDs - Shopping Cart / Checkout

I was going to go with the cheaper of the choices, I didn't pick the XHP, is that ok or should they be the more expensive ones??

Either should be fine. I put in LEDs and thought they were terrible, so I went to NAPA and got the regular incandescent bulbs. Not saying you will think the same, but a heads up. I got red if I remember correctly.

Thanks, Wolfman and everyone else. I really appreciate everyone's input.Given what a pain in the ass it looks to be to get the cluster out, I wanted to have a fresh set of bulbs lined up, so I'd only have to take the cluster out once.

Am I correct in assuming that the lamp identified with the arrow at the far right(which would be the far left when the cluster was turned around) is the one for the foglamp indicator? I want to get a darker colored bulb for that one position, because mine is blindingly bright, and kind of annoying.

Thanks again,
Steve
