Default what kind of screw?

Folks - there's something hanging down under my PT, and it drags on the ground. I'm fairly sure it's the engine splash shield. I lifted it up and it's just missing a screw, but I've been through every screw I own and can't find one thick enough. I was going to head to Kragen/autozone to look, but no idea what size I should be looking for?

Does anyone know? Anyone with a service book that might list it??

Greatly appreciate any help!!!

thanks,
Matt

not sure i follow, it's hanging down from the back (not the part that tucks under the fender) - it's just a single screw hole - how'd you manipulate a zip tie to work there?

Been awhile since I had to tie it but there must be something I used to go through the hole and come around to close the loop.

It's actually held with a plastic body panel plug. I just bought several packages as the guys who did my bodywork after my wreck didn't reconnect it all. I think the hole is the size of a pencil, so I went into Advance Auto and found a box of 4 plugs for Ford, they fit perfectly.

nice! that did it! thanks v. much! I have 2 PT's - didn't know why it didn't occur to me to look underneath the other one till now, but you're absolutely right, it's a large plastic plug, not a screw.

For future reference (or should the zip-tie guys want to go this route) I went to Autozone and got the "Dorman 963-060" pack for $2.50 - which contains 4x Chrylser/Ford plastic panel retainers. There's two that have screw type threads that were too small, and 2 that are V shaped. The V shaped one went in snug, and I have it a few good hard yanks, and that sucker's not going anywhere.

thanks again!
