Question Jump Start a problem?

Hi there... If I help some one and jump start a car with my PT from the Positive red post (not the one at the battery) would it damage anything in my car? I mean it was 3am and a strange neighborhood.... So I jump started a cavalier fast and then we go from the place... Did I put something electrical in danger?

Thanx
Daniel

You should be fine.

Did you notice something different with your car afterwards?

i always use the batt terminals but that's just my preference. using the positive post that's on the car wont hurt anything. That's what it's there for. But i definitely understand your concern.

i always go battery-battery - but the red post is safer.
Have "donor" car running so you don't drain it's battery down, then you have 2 cars stuck!
Never had a problem, done it dozens of times.
