Default PT ART

Been feeling in such a good mood lately, decided to give a go to doing some artwork. Below is a felt tip drawing I did of Kandy's PT, on linen.

I'll be posting these in my photo gallery here on the forums, so if you're interested give my gallery a look. If you have a nice picture of your PT that you'd like drawn, painted, whatever, just PM me and let me know and you can send me your photo and I'll do my thing to it.

So, I'll be snagging a few photos out of the galleries to post in my own gallery, and will put a couple here to entice you to go look at the rest!

Mind you, these postings are HUGELY downsized, the forums don't allow such big pictures here plus they'd take forever to download if you're on a slow internet connection. The originals run from 10 megapixel up to 16 megapixel, depending on what size I want to do. That is about 10.5" x 8" up to 13.3" x 9.5".

If you're really interested, I do have a source for having these transferred to canvas, in the style of the giclées, and you can then enlarge them up to a 36" x 24" canvas. Just posting these here for those of you who may want your PT painted!

Here's one of mine:

Last year, on the Tail of the Dragon, enjoying the fall colors and the tree's changing.

The paintings cost you nothing! Only free to forum members!

I call this "Kandy's PT Redux", mirrored the image, then did a water color underpainting, then pen and ink over that to add in detail, then finger painted the final layer.

Kandy, hope you like it!

If you have the right editing program on your computer, you don't need painting skills.

Photoshop, and other graphics programs do allow you a fairly easy method to get creative. However, the true digital art programs such as the one I use, they allow you to exhibit real skills, instead of using scripts and filters to create photo effects.

For instance, this image took all of three minutes in photoshop:

Versus this image, which took me closer to three hours:

With this, you choose the medium you're going to paint or draw on (canvas, paper, linen, etc.), then you choose the medium you're going to paint with (oil, acrylic, chalk, pencil, pen & ink, etc.), then lastly you choose the brushes and types to use (size, boar's hair bristle, mink, etc.). Then you have to blow up the original photo (I usually take them between 10 and 16 megapixels) to allow you to see the detail.

It's nearly impossible to turn out good digital artwork with just a mouse, so to do high quality work you need a very good digital light pen and tablet setup. Then you go to work!

Both methods allow you to display your "inner you", but one method is easy while the other requires real talent....lol....

Hey Guys,

Those are way cool their Chromenut.

I was never any good at Photoshop. I used to play around some with a good ol pencil and paper once in a while, but that's about my skill level pretty much.

Here is one I did a long time ago for my old and dear friend Bruce.

Did this a long time ago as well but took forever using MS Paint.

This one turned out alright.

Did this way back when I had my website.

And last but not least

Weak skills, what can I say.

If any of you with skills like mine ever wanna play around with photos though, here are a few I have used several times.

Upload JPG Photo (Or Transloader) To Add Effects, Novelty Frames, Body Swapper, Scrapbooks, Fake Magazine Covers, Postcard Templates, Etc

LunaPic Online Photo Editor

Something to play with anyway.
