Default The little voice in my head said change your battery

Several weeks ago the little voice in my head said change your battery it's the original and you don't want to get stuck when it's really cold. But I told the little voice to shut up and that money was tight so today when I went to go to work and it was 13 degrees out guess what died, yep my seven year old original factory battery.

So I get a ride to Walmart because I've used their best batteries and they have been good for me. Well they didn't have the good one only the value one which is a major piece of crap and I ain't taking it so I buy the next size battery in the best category. And I get home and my ride leaves and guess what it don't fit. It's a lousy half inch too tall. So now I've got no ride and still need a battery. So off on the bus I go to the local stealer/dealer who works me over for the five year factory battery and I carry this battery about a quarter mile each way from and two the bus stop, this little battery sure got heavy after a while. If it serves me as good as the last factory one that came with the car I will be happy.

So heed my warning fellow Pt'ers, do listen to your little voice if you battery is on borrowed time than get a new one now not after it dies.

That's pretty good...only got 3 1/2 on my OEM Mopar battery. The fact that it sat for the better part of a year on the used car lot probably didn' help. Five years under the best conditions is about max for a battery.

My PT is still on the original battery and it's starting to get cold here now. The thought of getting stuck is in the back of my mind now!

I replaced mine this fall because I listened - got 30 more CCAs than stock, and was only about $50 at WalMart - replaced it myself. My original was going on 7 years, too.

My original battery was replaced over the summer. Got 6 years out of it, and it wan't an Energizer Battery.

My 2009 Altima didn't even last 3 years.
