Default How many miles is a pt cruiser good for?

I have a standard 2002 pt cruiser and it runs good and is in great condition. It has about 133,000 miles on it. How long will the car last?
thanks

well lets answer this as best as we can
how well is the PT maintained
how often is the oil changed??
is it drove hard
city or highway
stick or auto
so many things to consider but id say a well or semi well maintained Pt motor should last over the 200,000 mile mark now the tranny well that's another issue all togther

I have a 2.0 in my Neon- Little brother of the PT's 2.4-
I've got 282,000 miles and about 100 runs at full 1/4 mile drag strip with 7400-7800 RPM shifts - 6,000 RPM clutch drops-on slicks.
Original Head, block, rods, pistons, cams, transmissions, etc

Engine won't be the problem. Autos have problems, manuals not.
Ensure you wash car well if your in salt area- especially in Spring

It will be nice to get 200,000 out of my PT. the only car I've ever gotten that many miles out of was a 1960 Volvo 544 - it had 150,000 on it when I got it, and threw a rod through the side of the block at 225,000. I was in Memphis, TN at the time, stationed at the Naval Air Station.

The powertrain warranty on mine is good to 125k... so I figure it'll last at least that long or they will be fixing it.

I'm disappointed, dodge might have given you a prize!

That's nothin.
There's million mile clubs- Prolly filled by slant-sixes.
I see no reason the 2.4 wouldn't go that far- keep clean oil in it and ensure it gets to operating temp. I worry about 2.4 and 2.0 cams, they flake- I've never seen one that was unserviceable (including mine), but worry about them lasting over 500,000.
Obviously you could get another pair for a few bucks and throw 'em in, but then you wouldn't be able to say 'original'

Now if I can get it below 13.8 with the stock components, I'll claim a world record. (Had 13.889 or something five years ago!)
