Bryan, welcome to the forum.
1. Hopefully your using synthetic oil and if so, a cooling down period isn't necessary but some would say even with synthetic, if you've been running hard, it won't hurt. 2. Look through here: PT CRUISER TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS LIBRARY to find some of the technical information you might need including some manuals. Thanks to Chromenut for that addition to the forum. |

Hey Bryan, I'll send you a PM regarding the service manuals. Welcome aboard! As to the cooling down period, it's really only necessary if you've been pushing it hard, or towing something. Anything that would push you up into boost. Personally I start driving like a normal person (cause I usually don't) when I'm about 2 miles from home. Then maybe a minute or so of cool down. That's mostly because I'm partially insane and at 50 years old I drive like an 18 year old.
So welcome to the forums!!! ![]() |

I also have an 2006 GT, with about 40 thous. miles....hope you love yours as much as I love mine...great cars, so far no major problems with mine, but it's good that we have all the folks of this site to help if we do run into trouble. My GT is not a stick, rather it is an automatic, black in color you can take a peek at it in my gallery. I warn you that the mod bug will bite you...and it never seems to be satisfied until it empties your wallet! ![]() ![]() |
