Default Anyone have over 200,000 miles?

I'm hoping to run my Cruiser till hell freezes over, LOL. although its pretty expensive to keep up with all the work required to keep her on the road. 4th set of tires, timing belt, water pump, front ball joints, 3 set of brakes, new radiator, new starter, 3 batteries, tie rods, sway bar, oh O forgot to mention the 4k in custom mods? LOL> My love for my car has not changed, although rather than showing my car now, I drive her every day. and its hitting my wallet hard, so who has the most miles? do I hear 300,000?

112k here, and I hope to ditch it soon.
Seems like there is always something that needs to be fixed on this car.
Luckily I can do most the work myself but I am getting tired of working on it.
Bought it because my aunt owned it and it was always maintained and serviced, and how can you pass up a car with 89k on it with NO rust and like new for $2k? I am starting to think I should have passed LOL

I guess I am just spoiled that my other cars never needed this much attention including my daily driver 98' S10 that I have which just keeps trucking along with next to no maintenance.

129k on Mater, only thing I've had to do was the cam sensor since we have owned it other than regular maintenance. Runs great, got 29 mpg not to long a go on a trip to NM and Back to CO.

Once we get to that mileage here the MOT testers start rubbing their hands together!

The S10 was in production for over 20 years so GM had plenty of time to get it right. The car mags and even some chevy guys like to knock it but for what it is, it does OK.

However, IMHO, having owned many different cars from all of the Big Three, Chrysler products do seem to have maintenance issues the others don't.

It used to be quite an accomplishment to get a car to 100000 miles. Today, the new benchmark is 200000 miles or more. If you are a car guy and enjoy taking care of your vehicle, then 200000 miles shouldn't be a problem especially if you don't live in the rust belt. OK, you may have to throw some parts at it beyond just the normal expendable stuff like batteries and brakes but you will still be ahead of a car payment.

Specifically, the PT is a heavy car for its size and has 60% of its weight distribution forward, so expect perhaps more front suspension wear. Also, the auto trans can be problematic. By today's standards, it is a pretty basic car and probably about average when it comes to ease of doing your own maintenance and repair. There are a million of them out there, it has been in production over 10 years, so parts are no problem and there is a good knowledge base such as this forum.
