How can someone answer that question if they don't own a roadrunner? How can they possibly know what it's like to own a vintage muscle car if they never did and the most important question how can you compare the two? It's apples and oranges, two different animals. |

I've been asked that a lot of times and my answer is always the same. Each has their own purpose and each gives me a feeling, but a different feeling. The PT attracts more attention (I think) because of the mods (flames, leg pipes, Caddy taillights, pin-striping) but the Vette...is a Vette. It's sort of loud (depends on your definition of loud), sort of stands out, because of the stripes. Depending on where I'm going, which car I take.

How can you compare the two. IMHO, only a PT enthusiast is excited when they see a cool PT.
Now when you see a Road Runner, that's a head turning like looking at a hot blonde. Everybody wants to see that V8 muscle car. I wish I had one. |

I've got a PT (obviously) and an S197 mustang, totally different to drive but love them both. Can't compare the two as others have said but wouldn't part with either.

Just curious why the comparism was made between the pt and the road runner to start with? Are you thinking of buying a road runner? That is a really different comparism to make, like day and night. If you are thinking of buying one along with your pt, then that's great, I say go for it, why not own both...

I just picked a Chrysler Muscle car I had at one time...could have been a GTO Or Chevelle SS etc..... MY PT GT ran 14.76 @ 94mph & my Roadrunner ran 14.91 @ 96mph..similiar times..... as far as muscle--different eras ...I think the PT is more driver friendly and more refined MJB
