Default Anyone had their Washer nozzles shatter?

When I used the windshield washer this morning, all I got was NADA...

After work I opened the hood and checked the hose for clogs and found both of the washer nozzles had shattered at the 90 degree bend in the nozzle assembly.

Local dealer wanted $27.50 EACH!

Online Chrysler dealer in Chicago charges $25 a pair w/ free shipping.

Let's not even talk about my opinion of Chrysler's Cheap Plastic Parts!!!

I seen that quite a few times On cars that the nozzles go thru the hood. after a while the under hood temps make the plactic brittle and they break. its not just chrysler.

I had the same experience on my 06. I was installing some aluminum diamond plate under the hood and both of the washers snapped very easily. Went to the local dealership and bought replacements - seems to me they were about $35 for the pair.

Same same, except mine were $29/pair.

Out here in California, they want over $30.00 for them...I ordered some with
metal and lights in them. they work fine....I picked up a set for a friend of
mine and installed them...he has had no problem with them...they work great!
He was working on his 2nd. set of the plastic ones....PTpreacher

Spend a few bucks and 15minutes and never worry about it again. Plus no ugly hose hanging under the hood anymore

washer nozzle issue!

Happened on both my Daughter's and her husband's GTs - both have '03 GTs - I replaced them with LED nozzles, just didn't hook up the LEDs - no need to buy dealer nozzles - just be sure you get all the plastic bits out of the hose.
