Default whistling sound

Ok, so I just acquired a 2002 Cruiser Dream and this evening I am hearing what sounds like a whistling sound coming from passenger side engine bay.

Does the timing belt make any type of noise when going bad?
Serpentine belt there as well I believe? If so should, I spray it and see if the squeaking goes away?
Anything else it could be?

The car has 60000 miles

Thanks
Nick

Don't spray anything on your belts. It will screw them up.

As far as the whistling goes, I have no idea--other than a needed belt adjustment.

when you say belt, are you referring to serpentine or timing?

when you rev the car in neutral / park do the revs "come down" immediately or do they come down slowly? if they come down slowly and the whistling noise changes when revving the engine, check your vacuum hose under the "modesty cover" it may be split and causing a whistle. had to replace mine a few weeks ago.
