Forgive me for posting a link outside this forum as I'm sure there are instructions here as well but here's a detailed guide on how to fix this:

UK Cruiser Club :: View topic - Fog light problem - fixed!

I was reading it earlier today.

EDIT: Just realised at the bottom of that thread is this:

MF switched repair

Same problem I believe.
Short ram intake, chrome grill, chrome belt line, drilled/slotted discs, few flames, engine dress up, chrome bits and pieces.
67,000 miles

Here's the fix from this forum:

How to Repair the Multifunction Switch w/ Pictures (Fog Lights)

It might be listed in the link that davea300 gave you but I'm too lazy to go over all 5 pages of the link to find out.

Question Re: fog light issue

Hey Crewzin,

Been working on this problem too, and the pictures definitely help find the problem. I noticed that this problem seemed to drain the battery. I disconnected the #8 fuse on my 02 non turbo pt cruiser with 155,000 miles on it and it will turn off the fog lights so they are not on when i park it. However, the battery still gets drained, does the bad multifunction switch still drain the battery even though the fuse ha been removed for the fog lights? I'm in the process of fixing the problem with the multifunction switch, but i just want to know for myself. Didn't have these battery problems until the fog lights started coming on when the lights and car were all turned off. Problem was fixed in the past already, but it was completed at the dealer.
