Question Anyone tried these?

I'm looking into replacing my headlights (one went out) and I like the look of the HID's, but I'm on a budget.

These work? I don't plan on driving till the weekend or so.

Also, will these work on my Fog's?

Yes they are garbage. They are very inefficient because of the blue film on the bulb which blocks output. if you have 55w stock bulbs and you replace with 55w blue bulbs your output will DECREASE. If you replace with 100w blue bulbs your output will increase slightly but you run the risk of burning up your wire harness. On top of this, these types of bulbs tend to burn out quicker than stock bulbs because they run hotter. The can be a hit or miss longevity wise.

HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

They are a little more than the bulbs you are about to buy but it is worth it. Plus this particular HID kit has a lifetime warranty. They will most likely last longer so it saves you money and time in the long run. Just make sure you aim them down so that you aren't blinding oncoming traffic.

I've regularly drive cars with stock HID's (from factory), stock HID's with projectors, and halogens (had to switch the blue "xenon" bulbs out back to stock) and have to say it is a night and day difference between the HID's and halogens. After a while you spoil yourself and really hate driving cars without them.

IMO: HID's with projectors > HID's > Halogen > Xenon Halogen (these really suck in the rain too)

^X2...and a lot of PT guys are using 35W ( not that hot, compared to the 55W ) with good results.

I have the DDM 35w slim ballast HID's with 5000k bulbs in my PT. The light output is great! I have had them in there for a couple years now with zero issues. If you don't like the whiter light with a slight blue tint use the 4300k bulbs, that will look more stock but be much brighter.

Question Re: Anyone tried these?

I've been driving around and I see people (mainly, 1 teenager driving a 240sx) and he's rocking some red headlights. They look like they'd be the HID, but I have searched and search for them online and have fallen short, any ideas?

Also, would it be illegal to have these in Oklahoma? Don't need the cops down my throat

i wouldn't do it. unless you were just gonna use the car for show's.
I know in Texas it's illegal to have red or blue lights in the front of the car.

What all do I need to order? It give the options of:
Wattage: I was thinking 35W
Bulb Type: 9006
Bulb Color: 12000k

Are these needed? If it comes as a kit I don't see why these are needed.
HID Harness:
Error Eliminator:
Adapter Cables:
Mounting Brackets:
