Hey folks, first post here. I'm considering a 2010 Cruiser with 39,000 miles on it. It is a dealer sale and from different reviews I've read it seems like a good buy!! It also appears the 2010's are the last year these cars were made. The price is really good so I'm wondering why ???? is it just that the dealers are trying to get these off the lot??? I just put down a 1987 Toyota corolla that ran for 300,000 miles.............I don't want to buy a car that is going to be shop bound soon so you can see my concern here.........alot of folks are trying to steer me away from this car saying that they'd only heard bad things about them but it appears that Chrysler got it right in the 2010 model. Any advice would be much appreciated :-)

I love my pt, the one thing you have to remember about them is Chrysler made a lot of them.
and they sold a lot too! because of this the resell value is fairly low, so you can get a lot of car for the $. Another plus for older pts is the only folks who usually bought them new were older people (young folks can't get approved for big loans usually and pts weren't a huge hit for the middle agers cause they wanted practical minivans or pickups) this means the cars are usually very well maintained the big downfall I see is that because so many are on the road it seems like they have more problems, a mechanic may say, I see 20 pts a month with problems. Well quite often there are hundreds of pts in the area. the other big thing is because there are so many, it means parts are easy to find be it at a salvage yard or online

I dont know where you are located but if you are near SC my old 2010 is still for sale at a really good price and it has less than 17,000 miles on it.It is a one owner and all service was done by the dealer.

If you take care of it like you did you last car you should do well. Late model triads are sometimes hard to sell. Interest rates on a new car keeps people from buying used. In this economy right now in my area things aren't moving at all. Except 4k and mostly under cars.
