Default Problem

Hi, I own a 2001 PT 2..0L, unfortnatley the engine died and had to be replaced. I bought another 2001 engine and had it fitted however i did notice the crank sensor was in a different place, the original engine had it at the back under the oil filter, the replacement has it at the front under the starter motor. Problem is the car will not start. I called out a diagnostic engineer who plugged into the car and stated no faults showing, however he belives the timings out by 180 degrees due to the location differences between the the two engines of the crank sensor. I have tried swopping plug lead and injectors sequences but to no avail.

Any Clues??

Whoever told you that the new engine was a 2001 LIED. Chrysler changed the Crankshaft sensor from above the oil filter to under the starter in 2004.
