Default Cluster replacement

I have a 2007 base model. The cluster acts up and I think that I can replace it pretty cheap with another unit. What I need to know is if that will change the mileage, whether it is stored in the cluster or not. If it is I will need to find one that has about the same mileage. Thanks

Well, to save someone some else some time in the future I'll post my results below.

I was able to find a replacement cluster that had real close to the same mileage. It was from a Turbo PT and had a few extra goodies on it including a 140 mile top speed, granted that won't make the car any faster but, hey, it LOOKS fast! The mileage is in fact stored in the cluster, luckily the replacement was within 1000 miles of the old one.

So better to pay more for one with similar mileage or have to send off to calibrate. Just curious will the speedo register right in your car with the pcm thinking it has a 120 mph unit in it?
