Default Questions on possible drum to disk conversion on my vert using parts car.

With the "siezed" engine pt I have being an all options 01 limited I am looking into the possibility of taking all the greatest things from it and splitting it between my two "nice" pts.

One of the options im playing with is eventually changing the drum brakes on my vert to disk brakes to match my 2002 touring edition.

Are the parking brake cables are the same for a drum brake and disk brake rear axle on a 01 limited and a 05 base vert? Do you think it's easier to swap the entire rear axle assembly or just the disk brake parts if I wanted to?

So I cant just take the lines off the drums and attach them to the disks, id have to take out the whole parking brake line and switch them?

On Neon (PL Body) you keep spindles and hubs, EVERYTHING else is swapped up to the chassis hard lines.

Many swap to discs on Neon, but they are far too heavy and do nothing on that vehicle- the rotors rust or brake shoes come unglued rather than wear

You would have to swap the lines to the calipers from the junction block at the rear. You could just opt to buy new ones. You would have to swap the backing plates, spindles, adapters for the calipers, bearings, rotors, pads and e-brake shoes and the e-brake cables.

So it seems to be easier to just remove the whole axel, roll it over to the vert and install it then Hook up the lines vs removing every wheel component off both sides right?
