Default today is a bad day

, last night on her way home ,my wife jen, was run off the road by a coal truck on the two lane stretch of road close to home she took out the guardrail and rolled her pt down the hill . thank god she was wearing her seatbelt as the softtop provides very little support and the rollbar i can tell you is cosmetic , she walked up the hill and sat by the guardrail till help arrived . she ended up with some stiches and some nasty bruises but thank god shes ok ! shes more worried about the car . the plus side is the pt ragtop is used to tape adult drivers ed courses and has a forward mounted camera im hoping caught the coal truck i havent been down to see the car but i know it left on two trucks

Dude, give our best to your wife! That's an experience no one would want to duplicate, but we're all happy she's safe and not terribly injured! I've wrecked mine twice now, once almost flipped it, but walked away from both and am still driving the bugger. Anyway, glad to hear she's all right! And eff that bastad in that coal truck!

All I can say is the same as everyone else, glad she's OK. The PT can be replaced.

thank you to everyone for the show of support it means alot jens home now she a little sore but the doc says she will be fine . i stopped and retrieved the camera out of the car to see if i got any footage and i can say the car is toast theres not a straight panel on her and most of the top and interior is tore up theres a nice reddish brown puddle under the drivers side
the "rollbar" was ripped clean off and took most of the interior panel with it. the radiator is crushed under the manifold and around yes around the starter noo sign of the battery or the air cleaner anywhere. jen laughed and asked if i thought it would buff out!

Apparently she and her sense of humor are alive and well. And, for all the damage, the car did what it was designed to do too. Kept her from being in worse shape. Glad all came out well. Our prayers to you and yours for a speedy recovery.

We've got our share of problems with coal trucks here in Alabama's black belt. It's a constant battle between safety and profit with the cars taking the hits.
