Default vacuum readings and sputter

Good evening, 2001 pt n/a, has had a mis or sputter, changed plugs and wires still there, hooked a vac gage up to throttle body and its 15 in hg with a little needle vibration, when I give it gas it jumps down to 0 then back up. I also noticed under accel my ac vents sound like they move. Does the pt have a vac canister? What should idle vac be? I checked the brake hose with a hand pump and it held as did the hose from the tb hose.

Thank you

Vacuums no diff in this engine than any other-

Some guys were gurus with a vacuum gauge- It was the 'scan tool' of yesteryear.

I *think* your vacuum is low, and flutter indicates a miss or a valve.

I though engines would idle at around 20 inches

You can get new plugs, plain old champion copper plus please, clean all the secondary surfaces free of any oil- even grease from hands- and see where you're at

Thanks,
That's what I installed the copper, does the car have a vacuum canister or is everything right off the engine? I sprayed it with carb cleaner and starting fluid , could not find anything.

Thanks

Sorry, although you said it, I didn't comprehend.

in '01 FSM (you may be able to get one from Chromenut or google 'pt cruiser FSM download' [pdf town]) shows a vacuum storage canister in vicinity of horns on cruise control equipped models
