Exclamation Replacement front passenger splash shield

I know I will be chastised for starting a new thread on this subject by the older members but, trying to search on this matter on this site is maddening. So hear I go incurring the wrath!

Months ago I purchased a "replacement" passenger front splash shield. Replacement being the key word here, eBay and the internet are rampant with "replacement" shields. I bought one! It arrived, it was nothing more that "Tupperware" and poor "Tupperware" at that! When installed it sagged worse than those unsightly young men that like to "bag" there pants to show their drawers!

Well, after replacing the damaged front "chin spoiler/air dam", that underwear showing splash shield was still glaringly (like your third grade picture when your two front teeth were missing) obvious!

Another search of the internet no good results. All else fails went to my local Chrysler dealer and got the real deal! So FYSA (For Your Situational Awareness, non-military types) the part you will WANT, Chrysler part # 04724804AC, description Shield Frt side rail Acc Pulley. Paid about $45 to include tax. Do yourself a favor go, to your Chrysler dealer and get the real deal, not some knock of piece of CRAP!

You can put that down as "lesson learned". Thanks for the lesson.

Red face Re: Replacement front passenger splash shield

Thanks Hanton!
I just hit a piece of truck tire tread on the highway last week.
(That's what I get for following to closely to the driver ahead....didn't see it coming!)
BAM! Shattered driver side shield.
