Pyt just died on highway with key on running at 70mph just died no warning now won't start. wasn't over heating while running but now guage shows hot. any help please.

Id go with timing belt, if no oil lights then its prob not a siezed engine... Id also bet on a camshaft position sensor maybe too. Did you try the key dance?

holy crapoly - I'd say the belt snapped. Did you try the key dance to see if you have any trouble codes?

As I said in the PM you sent me, probably the timing belt if you are anywhere near 100,000 miles, and you are.
The key dance is a way of getting any faults that the computer sees from any of the sensors. Chromenut gave you the fast and dirty. Here's the whole procedure and remember to do the on/off sequence in less than 5 seconds. Sounds hard but it's not. How to retrieve fault codes. If it is the timing belt, you should see a fault like P0340 which means the Camshaft sensor isn't seeing a signal which happens when the camshaft isn't turning anymore.

any idea what the cost to replace the timing belt should be.

Mine was $1200 but then he found a leak in the seal around the Crankshaft. Only a bit more in labor involved since he was already in the area.
