Default help please

hi there we have a 2005 pt cruiser and we just had the alternator replaced yesterday(otherwise the car runs perfectly not a sound)....the same day, we drove the 22 minutes to work with no issue but 2 minutes into our drive home there was a clunking sound on the front passenger side and we thought it was a flat tire, but it wasnt...we stoped nothing was dragging or looked any different, so we pulled back onto the road with the intent of pulling off the 1st place we could....when we got to the light the car would barely stop and the sounds grew louder as we stepped on the brakes......could they have screwed something up to cause this?? (fyi the only other thought we had was bushings or ty rods etc, but the whole suspesion system was replaced in may of this year) HELP!!!!

To change the alternator, you usually need to pull the passenger side cv axle, disconnect the strut or the control arm ball joint, remove the brake rotor and caliper.....as you can see is a lot of stuff to take out...so if you have no brake or it gets louder when you brake, they probably forgot to tie something up

Do not drive the vehicle until you determine what is wrong and correct it ...too much critical stuff involved here.

I agree with everyone here. Get it looked at before any damage can be done.
