Default grinding, vibration question

I have a 2003 Limited and about a month ago I started hearing this humming noise and I thought maybe a wheel bearing. I jacked the car up and the wheels seemed pretty tight.
The sound persisted and I took it to a garage and they said the left front wheel bearing needed to be replaced. So they did it.

I still have the vibration starting at about 20mph and getting faster and louder up to 60 mph. You can feel the vibration through the shifter and through the gas pedal.

Front tires were pretty worn, so I replaced them and it made no difference.
Sound is the same no matter how fast the engine is revving.

It's louder going around a left hand curve in the road and disappears briefly going around a right hand curve.

Any ideas? Thanks for you input.

Change the OTHER front wheel bearing. Might not help but they usually go bad in two's so it can't hurt.

Thanks people. I thought so, too.

Now to fight with the Firestone store about the noise still being there after their "repair". Don't you hate having to do that?

It was indeed the other wheel bearing.

As I said, at their suggestion, I replaced the front tires and it did not cure the problem.
However, they took the car in again and checked it out and found it to be the right front wheel bearing, (they had already replaced the left front).

Naturally, I complained that I would not have bought new tires so soon, if they had not suggested that was the cause. Also, said that now I have to pay you for the wheel bearing job.

They gave me a 30% discounted refund on the price of the tires and refunded the labor charges for the tires, an alignment, and for the rf wheel bearing job. And an apology was offered and accepted.

I think that was fair and good customer service. I'm happy.
Thanks for the responses.

Thanks for getting back to us. Sounds like you got a good deal out of it except you had to spend the extra time getting it resolved.

All in all, I guess it worked out to be about half price for everything, but I think they offered a more than fair compensation for the situation.
Which means, I will probably use them again, also.
