Default 2009 Touring w/automatic trans

HI Everyone,
I am new to the forum, but not to PT's. I had an 2002 limited with 5 speed manual transmission back in the day. I loved it. I have found a 2009 touring w/automatic transmission. It has very low miles (under 20,000) but no warranty, Carfax is uneventful except 2 owners and regular oil changes. My concerns:
* Interior has a lot of plastic, doesn't feel like it has as much quality kinda chintzy....
* Not as peppy as my 5 speed was.
Does anyone have any comments on the 2009's? I have not been able to find much about them good or bad.....THanks in advance

I love mine. Have had it for 7 months. It had 36,000 miles on it. Mine is the base but I have added cruise, factory fogs, chrome 16" wheels and tires and numerous other chrome stuff. Can you tell I love it?

OK, So I did it.....I forgot how fun these little cars are to drive!! My next question is should I go for a service contract? I can get 100,000 miles or 4 years for $775 and $200 deductible.
How much is the transmission to replace if it goes out?? The car only has 15500 miles on it......Not sure what I should do...ANy thoughts?

I hate to give people advice on those since every person's situation is different. I personally don't buy them but that is entirely up to you. But yours sounds really cheap so I would look it over really close. Plus with a $200 deductible there are a lot of things that can be fixed for $200 if you are capable of doing it yourself.
