Yes, they are different...I believe the turbo's have seven fins for better flow

Hmm I would have to say yes? My TRW WP catalog has 2 different part numbers? The gasket and the case look the same?

Nice guess on the fins? I think those are the same it is a cavitation thing not flow. But looking at both the illustrations of the interior case I know actually how to improve the flow of it.

Upon more researching the TRW is only one number for both one of the 2 numbers was superseded. the GMB only lists one. The funny thing I went by a local auto parts and they looked up 2 different numbers and had them both. They were exactly the same part with slight casting differences and country of manufacturer but physical the cavity, impeller, mounting holes and tabs were all the same for a Turbo and NA. So I would have to say at this point there is no differences?

Disc attached to impeller to lower or eliminate cavitation increase coolant circulation and help lower coolant temperatures

Guy thanks for your help. this is exactly the two that I have. I wonder if Gates kits have the six blade impeller? The enclosed impeller on mine is plastic. The replacement I have Is a AC with the Chrysler emblem and has a part # cast in it.

Nice pictures XtrmDC2. Danny aka Busted_PT you will be fine with either in fact most can use either pumps and not see any problem unless they are spinning the engine in excess of 4K rpm for an extend period of time. The **extra fin does not improve the flow so much as the actual plate on the back side of the impeller. This helps prevent cavitation at high water pump shaft speeds that could under some conditions stall or reduce the water flow volume.
I think after reading up on the PT's water pumps that the lack of high engine speed operations by the overall PT operator may be why many aftermarket may have combined the NA and the Turbo water pump application as one? Anyway if you saw in the small print of my post one way to improve water flow is to rivet a round plate on the impeller this would be an NA water pump mod for use with either Turbo or NA application using a none Turbo water pump as a base project for upgrading. We Rat Rodders have been doing that for years to make High Flow water pumps out of stockers.

**read up on "fluid dynamic's"

I swear someone posted a pic of a superseded WP,

I'd strongly suggest getting the correct pump from Chrysler-

Gates are made in China, and look nothing like either pump- Prolly an impeller they also used for Yugo pumps (Not to mention the 20,000 mile quality)

I don't know anything about turbo's, but my bro's old Omni had a watercooled turbo, so perhaps the turbo needs more volume for this????
