Default Cooling Fans

Hello All,

Well when I get off of my 75 hours per week schedule, I'm gonna make time to change my cooling fan that is going out. The prices on these range from 144.00 to 212.00 at my local parts stores. The brands I'm seeing are VDO, Dorman, Continental, and Balkamp by Napa. Before I buy one, just wanted to see if you Cruisers had any particularly good or bad luck with any of these brands. I appreciate all of your input..

I would get the Dorman. You can order it through Rock Auto for quite a bit of savings. I was in a hurry so I bought the Dorman at Autozone with a lifetime warranty.

Beejay, if you can wait, RockAuto Auto Parts has the Dorman fan for under $100. Not sure of the shipping costs.

We also have instructions on the forum in the HOW TO section to help you with changing out the fan, if you need it.
