Default Power Heated Mirrors Addition

I went yarding and raped a 2001 Limited

Snagged the pair of heated power mirrors. Also grabbed the door harness connector/pigtail.

Anyhow I want to add these to my 03 GT, which has power mirrors but they dont have the defrost feature.

I am hoping Chrysler just deleted the feature in the mirrors and ran the same harness to the doors so this would be a plug and play.

Anyone add pwr heated mirrors into on with pwr mirrors?

I see on the other thread folks adding them to the base models.

Default Re: Power Heated Mirrors Addition

Probably not plug and play. Check the door mirror connectors; the heat function will have a lite blue/yellow wire at pin #3.

My 2004 base (manual mirrors) had the necessary connectors for the power mirrors and mirror switch. Adding the power mirrors was simple (did need to replace lower left dash panel for switch).

The heated mirror function, however, required running wires to the connectors in the door. I choose to duplicate the oem wiring using the rear window defogger switch and adding the needed fuse-box and C204 & C205 connectors.

The heat function could be made operable by tapping any power source (I'd suggest an ignition switch controlled circuit and fuse) and adding any switch of your choice.
