Default Broke plastic tube/hose when removing throttle body

I was removing the throttle body tonight on my 2006 pt cruiser, and broke a plastic hose in the process. It is the hose that attaches to the metal nipple on top of the throttle body. It goes back towards the firewall and then down, I can't see where it ends. I did a couple of quick searches, but can't find anything that definitively says what this hose is. It looks like maybe it would be a purge hose?

Can anyone tell me for sure what this is, and how far I need to go to fix it? If I can just put the two pieces back together and put a piece of rubber hose around the break to hold them together, will that be ok, or do I need to find a replacement somewhere?

It is the line from the purge solenoid to the throttle body. The purge solenoid is mounted low on the driver's side of the firewall, below the brake vacuum boost. Yes, you could likely fix it with a piece of appropriate size hose and a couple of clamps.
