Default Replacing the "cobra" shifter FYI

I've got the Boring leather wrap shifter in my PT, and wanted to convert it to the "cooler" Q ball look.

Well I read somewhere and assumed the shaft was chrome underneath the colored sheath on mine. so I purchased a used knob to use on my existing shifter.

Now I will have an extra knob, because I wound up purchasing another shifter from E-Bay with the chrome shaft and white ball.

The Leather wrap does NOT have chrome under the covering, it is plain steel (so much for saving money at development).

If you want to convert, your buying a whole new shifter housing
